Training and Development

Multitask is committed to providing opportunities in learning and development for all staff. Continuous improvement can only be achieved by ensuring that employees are exposed to training in aspects of the disability industry, their career and personal development. Our staff are always encouraged to expand and develop their knowledge and skills.

We support Traineeships in Certificate IV Disability, Mental Health, Certificate IV Frontline Management, and Certificate IV Business Administration. When possible, we also offer funded training opportunities in accredited courses as they become available. Core training covering the skill areas of a Support Worker role such as PART and PCP are delivered throughout the year.

Safety training such as Manual Handling is offered to all employees on commencement. We provide up to 4 paid days of induction and orientation to new staff which includes training in Person Centred Planning. New Support Workers and Team Leaders are provided with a 3 month orientation and log book to complete ensuring everyone gets a consistent level of training in a variety of competencies such as Universal Precautions, Medication Administration, Report Writing, Policy & Procedures and Legislation & Disability Standards.

We support relevant tertiary courses for our employees and may provide financial assistance and study leave, or flexible working arrangements.
